About the role
- Assistant Network Technician maintaining Water Distribution Network at Anglian Water. Hands-on role supporting Water Quality and Water Aesthetics programmes with outdoor fieldwork and digital tools.
Responsibilities
- Play a hands‑on role in helping to maintain our Water Distribution Network
- Learn how our operational processes work and gain the skills required to support the delivery of our Water Quality and Water Aesthetics programmes
- Work closely with Maintenance Managers, technicians, planners and scientific teams
- Help deliver planned maintenance, network surveys, asset inspections, water sampling and flushing activities
- Work outdoors across a wide area, operating underground assets
- Use digital tools to record and update information
- Provide customer‑focused support during water‑related incidents
Requirements
- A practical, hands‑on approach and enjoyment of working outdoors all year round
- Willingness to learn about the Water Distribution Network and water quality processes
- Ability to work safely in line with Anglian Water’s Health & Safety standards
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset
- Confidence using digital devices to record data and update network information
- Ability to work flexibly, including participation in out‑of‑hours activity when required
- A positive attitude and commitment to continuous learning and development
- Ability to travel around the region as part of day‑to‑day duties
