About the role

  • Draft, negotiate, administer and give advice on a wide variety of supplier and customer contracts
  • Foster collaborative working relationships cross-functionally with stakeholders from across the organisation
  • Ensure the contracts and procurement service is responsive to business needs and proportionate to risk and spend
  • Bring experience and new ideas to this developing function

Requirements

  • A strong understanding of commercial contract law and contract management principles
  • In depth knowledge and experience of defining and implementing procurement good practice
  • Knowledge and experience of commercial and research contractual arrangements and documentation
  • Knowledge and experience of contract management processes for both suppliers and customers
  • Experience of leading a contract negotiation and drafting the contract documents with both customers and suppliers
  • Experience of leading contract management meetings and performance managing providers
  • Highly proficient in working with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven experience of working in a similar position
