About the role
- Category Lead managing strategic procurement for Aggreko's manufacturing facility in India. Identifying suppliers and establishing contractual frameworks while ensuring regulatory compliance and ethical sourcing standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive the assessment, negotiation, onboarding and the strategic management of key suppliers
- Identify, negotiate with, and develop strategic in-country suppliers
- Establish, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements
- Regularly benchmark and manage supplier performance
- Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, GST frameworks, and import/export documentation requirements
- Drive ethical sourcing practices in line with Aggreko’s ESG standards and Supplier Code of Conduct
Requirements
- Over 8 years of experience in direct procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
- Strong commercial acumen with deep knowledge of the Indian supply base for electrical and mechanical components
- Global stakeholder management capability
- Clear, authentic, and inclusive communication style
- Educational background in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline; an MBA or postgraduate qualification is preferred
