About the role
- Report directly to the Chief Technology Officer as strategic business partner to the CTO
- Act as primary liaison between Technology Division and Finance; manage and track departmental budgets, forecast spending, analyze OpEx and CapEx
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, drive efficiencies, and provide variance and ROI analysis to support board-level decision making
- Lead business analysis for initiatives from concept to post-implementation review and conduct ROI analysis
- Implement and manage timesheet processes for accurate project time attribution and provide visibility on project costs and portfolio performance
- Continuously review and refine business processes to streamline workflows and improve project delivery efficiency
- Commercial owner for technology suppliers: negotiate contracts, oversee SLAs, manage renewals, ensure continuity and exit strategies
- Own DORA compliance for the Technology Division; maintain oversight of ICT risk management, incident reporting, and third-party resilience
- Prepare and present reports and executive-level presentations on financial performance, project status, vendor performance, and resilience metrics
Requirements
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a business analyst, with significant experience in a senior or lead role
- Proven track record of managing technology budgets and leading complex projects
- Extensive knowledge of the financial services industry, specifically within a brokerage or banking environment; experience with a proprietary trading platform is an advantage
- Deep understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, forecasting, valuation methods; skilled in financial modeling and ROI analysis
- Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in agile and scrum environments
- Strong communication skills to partner with software developers and product managers effectively
- Strong understanding of regulations governing online brokerages (e.g., FINRA, SEC) is highly desirable
