Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy, consistency and clarity of marketing and business funnel data.
Lead the creation/evolution of metrics and dashboards (Power BI and Looker Studio).
Structure and validate data in BigQuery (and relational databases).
Drive analyses that lead to action and mentor the team (mid and junior levels).
Requirements
Senior BI experience (agency or product/marketing data-driven), with a track record of ownership of the numbers and reducing reporting errors.
Strong analytical profile and structured logical reasoning: decompose problems, define inclusion/exclusion criteria, build rules (CASE WHEN), validate edge cases, compare database vs platform and justify each metric.
Marketing/business metrics: CPC, CPA, ROAS, LTV, funnel/cohort, pacing/projections; critical review and reconciliation across sources.
Advanced Power BI (tabular modeling, DAX, Power Query/M, RLS, performance optimization) and advanced Looker Studio (parameters, blends, optimizations).
Strong BigQuery and SQL for BI: CTEs, joins, aggregations, basic window functions; creating views/tables; understanding of partitioning/clustering and efficient consumption.
GA4 and GTM: plan measurement (events, parameters, UTMs), specify dataLayer for developers, validate (Tag Assistant/DebugView) and ensure alignment between tracking and dashboard metrics.
Quality and governance: metrics glossary, single source of truth, automated checks (integrity/reconciliation), pre-publication audit, access control (RLS/IAM) and basic versioning.
Practical automation: schedule light extractions/transformations (scheduled SQL, Apps Script or similar), handle timezones/currencies/late data and document the flow.
