About the role
- Senior Accountant managing financial and management accounts for all EMEA legal entities at Glanbia. Collaborating closely with the EMEA Finance & Commercial teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support the EMEA Financial Controller in maintaining the integrity of financial ledgers and accounting processes.
- Review intercompany journals and payment requests in line with group policies.
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Liaise with outsourced service providers (e.g., Genpact) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting services.
- Assist in coordinating statutory audits and group reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial reporting tools and processes.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including audit preparation and documentation.
- Assist in tax filings and regulatory submissions in collaboration with group tax and legal teams.
- Identify and implement improvements to strengthen the control environment and streamline accounting operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in brand management within FMCG, retail, or consumer-focused
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience in financial accounting within a multinational or FMCG environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to work across teams and geographies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in audit coordination and statutory reporting is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
