About the role
- SAP ABAP Developer for ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, designing and optimizing SAP applications while ensuring best practices and successful implementations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF)
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Support SAP technical upgrades including SPAU and SPAD adjustments
- Work on performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs
- Participate in end-to-end implementation and support projects
- Document technical specifications and development activities
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming (Reports, Module Pool, ALV, BDC, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, Enhancement frameworks etc.)
- Experience with Object-Oriented ABAP and ABAP on HANA
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA specific technologies like CDS views, AMDP
- Good understanding of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, and BRIM
- Hands-on experience with SPAU and SPAD during SAP upgrades
- Knowledge of integration techniques (REST API, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Service and ODATA)
- Familiarity with debugging and performance analysis tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with SAP HANA database and its interaction with ABAP
- Proficient in SAP Web IDE, Eclipse IDE, and other relevant development tools
- Bachelor / master’s degree in business, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline
- 3 to 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development
- Desirable: SAP S/4 HANA certification in ABAP
