About the role

  • Regional Business Office Consultant overseeing business office processes for skilled nursing facilities. Leading training and ensuring compliance on billing and collections within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and support for a group of skilled nursing facilities in relation to business office processes
  • Responsible for leading the training, education, and implementation of billing processes
  • Consulting and guiding assigned Business Office Managers
  • Monitoring billing and collection efforts
  • Audit and train Business Office employees on policies and procedures
  • Communicate and escalate risk items to leadership
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing and payments are received by designated timelines
  • Monitor for compliance of Internal Controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing a skilled nursing facility business office
  • Prior experience managing multiple skilled nursing facility business offices at once highly preferred
  • Extensive experience in billing and collections including Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Private Pay, and Medicaid Pending within long term care required
  • Proven experience developing and delivering training programs, workshops, or seminars
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Finance, Business, or a related field is required
  • Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) certification preferred
  • Prior accounts receivable experience required
  • Must possess knowledge of Multistate Medicaid Pending, Recertification, and Authorizations
  • Experience with Managed Care billing and processes required
  • Knowledge of Resident Trust Fund processes required
  • Previous experience training and educating all levels of staff in person and remotely
  • Working knowledge of Point Click Care required
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Professional image in both appearance and behavior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
