About the role
- QA Lead overseeing quality assurance for JustPlay’s mobile app ecosystem. Leading the QA team and ensuring app reliability across platforms and releases.
Responsibilities
- Own the full QA lifecycle for JustPlay’s app and platform features — from test planning and execution to reporting and defect management.
- Partner with development, design, and product teams to integrate QA best practices early in the release cycle.
- Design and maintain comprehensive test plans and automated suites for key user flows (login, payments, live events, notifications, etc.).
- Lead, mentor, and scale the QA team — setting up clear processes, code quality standards, and testing frameworks.
- Implement automation and regression testing strategies using tools, preferably Maestro, or for example, Espresso, XCTest or Appium.
- Use contract testing (e.g., Pact) to validate backend and service integrations.
- Apply performance and reliability testing across mobile platforms to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Drive innovation through AI-driven testing and predictive analytics to detect risks and reduce manual effort.
- Foster a strong quality culture across teams by tying QA goals to product velocity and platform reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA for mobile apps or platforms, including at least 2 years leading teams.
- Proven ability to design scalable QA processes in fast-paced, development-heavy environments.
- Hands-on experience with mobile debugging tools (Android Studio, Xcode) and network analysis tools like Charles.
- Solid understanding of automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with project and documentation tools such as Jira and Notion.
- Strong attention to detail and a user-first mindset.
- Bonus: Experience in backend integration testing, API monitoring, and contract testing frameworks.
