About the role

  • Conduct various types of manual testing of web projects, including acceptance, functional, integration, regression, and compatibility testing
  • Analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders
  • Find, document, and track bugs, ensuring their timely resolution by coordinating with development and automation teams
  • Collaborate closely with development and automation teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient bug resolution
  • Develop and implement quality strategies for key features and functionalities within the Microsoft Casual Games portfolio
  • Monitor and communicate the quality status of products, along with ongoing quality efforts and team strategies, to leadership through various channels
  • Coordinate priorities across manual testing, data, and software engineering teams to maximize the impact of shared deliverables
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve the team’s strategic capabilities and overall performance, cross domain
  • Cultivate a culture of quality within the team, fostering a mindset that prioritizes quality in all aspects of product development and delivery
  • Directly influence the QA processes and the delivery in the team
  • Build and integrate automation tools/mechanisms in the SDLC

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • Proficiency in front-end web testing and/or game testing
  • Experience working within Scrum/Agile projects
  • Strong knowledge of HTTP(S), JSON, XML, and RESTful services
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies and experience with relevant tools
  • Experience shipping software projects as part of a test or quality engineering team
  • Experience web testing in multiple web platforms/cross-devices/screen orientations (web in mobile)
