About the role
- Accurately code, post, and process purchase and manual invoices in line with company policies.
- Manage incoming finance emails, resolving supplier and internal invoice queries promptly.
- Perform daily and month-end bank reconciliations, including revaluations and petty cash reconciliation.
- Prepare and process supplier payments, payroll deductions, and inter-company allocations.
- Set up and validate new supplier accounts and bank details within HSBCnet.
- Manage group currency transfers, drawdowns, and overnight deposits.
- Download and reconcile statements and invoices from portals, including HMRC Customs.
- Support audits by maintaining accurate records and providing required documentation; assist with ad hoc finance tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of purchase ledger processes.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Good organisational skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong team player and ability to collaborate with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in FMCG, food production, manufacturing or retail environments.
- Microsoft Dynamics experience.
