About the role
- Project Manager coordinating renewable energy development and construction projects at BayWa r.e. Managing multiple teams and ensuring project profitability, quality, and schedule adherence.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to Development teams during the late development phase (pre-RTB)
- Take responsibility for projects once they reach the RTB (Ready-to-Build) stage and until handover to the Asset Operations team, ensuring quality, deadlines and budgets are met
- Estimate CAPEX/OPEX budgets, prepare and monitor investment requests
- Coordinate project teams: development, environment, engineering, procurement, construction, legal, finance, sales, operations and Contract Management
- Manage project schedules, prioritize and track actions
- Coordinate procurement of equipment and contracting with suppliers and subcontractors
- Contribute to drafting EPC contracts with the Legal department
- Ensure timely and cost-effective execution and optimization of project construction
- Prepare cash flow schedules in coordination with Management Control
- Coordinate project financing and sales processes
- Act as the investor’s point of contact throughout the construction phase
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and applicable standards
- Provide monthly reporting on risks, schedule and project margin tracking
Requirements
- Master’s degree (engineering or business degree with technical knowledge)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the development or construction of solar, storage and/or wind projects
- Strong knowledge of the development and construction phases of a renewable energy project
- Skills in managing cross-functional teams, preparing and monitoring budgets and schedules
- Financial knowledge required for project financing and sales processes
- Excellent project management skills
- Good IT skills, notably MS Project and Excel
- Very good command of French
- Very good level of English, written and spoken (fluent)
- Valid driver’s license (category B)
