About the role

  • Manage large, complex transmission projects in Massachusetts in a multi-external stakeholder environment
  • Overall responsibility and ownership of Project scope, schedule and budget
  • Coordinate regulatory approvals and interface with regulators, local elected officials and town department managers
  • Manage development and evaluation of bid documents for engineering, design and construction and procurement of materials and support systems
  • Ensure all project aspects are documented and completed in accordance with company policies, regulations and laws
  • Represent Eversource as the expert witness for ISO-NE CSC and other regulatory evidentiary proceedings
  • Prepare written and oral presentations to senior management, governmental agencies and outside organizations
  • Lead municipal meetings, homeowner meetings, and other interested party meetings
  • Provide guidance, develop less experienced personnel, and manage team performance
  • Respond to emergency situations as part of Emergency Restoration assignment if employed

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment; Eversource will not sponsor candidates for work visas
  • Must be able to work up to five days in the office if needed
  • Minimum five (5) years of Project Management or related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred; bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or equivalent degree will be considered or equivalent experience
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License required
  • Through knowledge of Project Management principles and practices
  • Demonstrated leadership, teambuilding, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to schedule, plan and manage numerous complex transmission projects concurrently
  • Ability to represent Eversource at municipal meetings and provide project overviews
  • Ability to prepare written responses for local, state, or federal regulatory proceedings and act as expert witness for ISO-NE CSC and other regulatory evidentiary proceedings
  • Highly developed communication skills (listen, write clearly, make presentations, persuasive communication)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret project information and make well thought out recommendations/decisions
  • Ability to assess team members’ abilities and manage performance
