About the role

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of exciting projects.
  • In this role you will work closely with Bedford's Professional Services teams across all regions to successfully manage projects from Bedford's services and product portfolio, creating sustainable value for both our clients and Bedford.
  • The Project Manager reports to the Head of PMO and is responsible for managing and delivering projects using the agile 'Anaplan Way' methodology.
  • Required governance and control measures must be followed in accordance with Bedford's project management framework.
  • The Project Manager will manage multiple (sometimes large and complex) projects in parallel according to their respective plans.
  • Responsible for end-to-end financial management of the project, including budget control, forecasting and time tracking to maintain project targets and tolerances.
  • Actively lead and motivate the Professional Services team throughout all project phases.
  • Build trust (supported by evidence-based objective project reporting) and develop relationships to ensure Bedford's project delivery achieves the expected outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in technical project management, ideally in an IT professional services or managed services environment.
  • Experience in IT consulting and solid knowledge of managing software development lifecycle projects.
  • Knowledge of Anaplan and related products and services is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking ability, with the capability to prioritize demanding tasks effectively and maintain productivity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential.
  • Practical experience with software development tools such as Jira is also advantageous.
  • Certification in Agile PM, Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or equivalent is required.
  • University degree, equivalent qualification, or demonstrable extensive practical experience in the relevant industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple large and/or complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation skills with proven confidence presenting to groups and executive leadership.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and lead workshops with diverse audiences, capture information effectively and steer discussions toward objectives.
  • Ability to understand relevant industry technologies in depth and to develop and communicate effective solutions considering commercial factors.
  • Experience working with CRM, ERP and ITSM platforms to support the full project lifecycle from sales to service, and practical knowledge of ITIL.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated and able to inspire others and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Approachable demeanor and the ability to build key relationships and trust with colleagues, partners and clients through a flexible approach.
  • Confident English communication skills to work effectively in an international team.
  • Demonstrable contributions to the PMO by supporting both the PMO and the wider business in implementing strategic objectives and driving continuous improvement.
