Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the property including overseeing physical maintenance and upkeep
Effectuating administrative and clerical tasks
Maintaining positive resident relations
Adhering to all applicable rules and regulations
Analyzing the respective property and highlighting its best attributes to effectively manage it
Interviewing potential residents to determine whether they meet applicable regulations
Collecting rent and serving late notices as needed and/or delegate the same
Ensuring compliance with proper procedures and regulations for applicant certification
Overseeing maintenance of property management software systems
Reviewing, analyzing, and preparing weekly and monthly compliance reports
Supervising maintenance and office staff
Providing excellent customer service to residents and vendors
Requirements
HUD, HOME, State affordable housing programs and tax credit experience
Knowledge of property maintenance and physical maintenance/upkeep requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for residents and to manage staff
Strong computer skills including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; Yardi a plus
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through including ability to manage staff
Able to work independently, prioritize, meet multiple deadlines, and supervise team members
Valid driver’s license and required insurance
