About the role

  • Supports one or more program/project managers by preparing and analyzing project performance data and reports
  • Processes purchase request and purchase orders
  • Tracks cost and schedule of delivery orders
  • Assures timely payment of invoices
  • Works with systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Microsoft 365 SharePoint, and Salesforce
  • Coordinates with project managers, technical staff, logistics, project control, procurement, and other support staff across a wide range of topics, tasks, and efforts
  • Enters and tracks pricing requests for new services and service renewals
  • Manages purchase request (PR) submissions in Deltek Costpoint; responsible for managing timely PR approvals from multiple departments and levels
  • Purchases consumable equipment on company purchase card (P-Card)
  • Enters capital expense (CAPEX) and At-risk packages within SalesForce; responsible for managing timely approvals from multiple departments and levels
  • Reviews and approves invoices with Accounts Payable (AP) in a timely manner to ensure supplier performance and avoid termination of services
  • Provides service level agreement (SLA) metrics and captures applicable credits
  • Updates Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for Information Technology (IT) assets
  • Manages / coordinates financial charge codes and wide-area workow (WAF) distribution
  • Creates and maintains a consolidated project tracker to document purchase requests, purchase orders, service orders for projects supported by a large vendor base (with both domestic and foreign suppliers)
  • Develops new methods for tracking and reporting program metrics and status statistics
  • Supports plans, schedules, and budgets to meet requirements for projects or portions of more complex program(s)
  • Interfaces with all levels of the customer, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate deliverables, budgets, and schedules
  • Makes change recommendations to management, as appropriate
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the organization’s mission, values, and culture

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree and related technical training with 3+ years directly related experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
  • Experience in data collection and analysis, cost estimate development, procurement and accounts payable (AP) workflows, and development of project status reports
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communications skills as well as attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word in particular) and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • US Citizenship is required
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Security clearance preferred
  • Certifications in area of expertise a plus
  • Technical experience with IT, terrestrial networks, and application development a plus
