About the role
- Corporate Attorney at Entrust focusing on legal aspects of technology-driven innovation. Supporting product and engineering teams in a compliant manner while navigating global regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice to product and engineering teams focusing on our IDV, biometrics, fraud, AI, and platform services along with the rest of Entrust’s product portfolio.
- Advise on product launches and iterations from discovery through deployment, ensuring alignment with privacy, AML/KYC, eID, consumer protection, and platform liability laws.
- Translate regulatory and legal requirements into actionable advice for global product and engineering teams.
- Review and negotiate product-related agreements, including data sharing terms, commercial integrations, and government contracting components.
- Provide legal support for new market and product entrances across the globe (LATAM, EMEA, APAC) by mapping and tracking jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Liaise with external counsel and collaborate with internal teams on legal strategy, documentation, and timeline feasibility.
- Partner with privacy, compliance, and commercial legal colleagues on cross-functional initiatives involving AI, biometrics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Contribute to the development of internal policies, governance tools, and scalable legal frameworks.
- Support strategic partner relationships and ensure legal readiness across high-impact go-to-market efforts.
- Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas and identify proactive solutions that will mitigate risks in a practical business manner.
Requirements
- Educational Background: LLB (or equivalent) from an accredited law school; an LLM is a plus.
- Must be authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization in your jurisdiction and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in an in-house corporate environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Dutch, or German is a plus.
