About the role
- Assist judiciary with case management and litigation as Senior Trial Court Staff Attorney. Draft legal documents, provide research and advice to judges in the State Courts System.
Responsibilities
- Assist the judiciary with case management, pending litigation, processing of criminal and civil appeals, and a variety of issues.
- Responsible for drafting memoranda, opinions, orders, and conducting legal research.
- Review briefs and case files; advising judges on pending litigation.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required.
- Five years of work experience in the practice of law or as a law clerk in an appellate or trial court.
- Requires membership in Good Standing in the Florida Bar within one year of hire.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
