About the role

  • Manage Residential Linear product categories including Wraps, Undercabinet, & Tapelight.
  • Lead and drive the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned Residential projects ensuring on time, within budget, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Understand customer base, applications, and competitors to develop competitive solutions and generate sales growth.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Manage project expectations and provide timely escalation for product deviations to mitigate quality and/or supply chain risks.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders including timely updates on project status, milestones, and any changes to the project plan.
  • Work with product support, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, customer service, and sales to support product categories and new product launches.
  • Present and provide product training for assigned product categories and other Residential categories for support teams, channel partners, and customers.
  • Lead, inspire, and influence the team to work according to the product development system with phase gates, milestones, and predefined deliverables.
  • Have a basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques that allows one to lead and challenge the team.
  • Drive KPI compliance with the team, including but not limited to phase gate compliance and performance tracking of productivity, margins, quality, ship promise compliance, and sales growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field. MBA a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in product management, preferably within the lighting industry.
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Strong understanding of product development life cycle.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of lighting industry sales channels, key influencers, and primary decision makers. (Preferred)
  • Direct knowledge of tapelight products, applications, and key competitors. (Preferred)
  • Travel Requirements 1-20%.
