About the role

  • Define and drive the product vision for education and learning in ChatGPT
  • Shape strategy and build products to advance learning experiences that could reshape classrooms, careers, and lifelong learning
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners—from AI research to design to go-to-market—to build ChatGPT into a true learning agent
  • Partner with research teams to explore how AI can better advance learning outcomes
  • Partner with growth, GTM, and marketing teams to bring tools to students, adult learners, and educators
  • Work with external partners in academia, education, and workforce development to track outcomes and ensure products are safe and effective
  • Use both data and user feedback to validate impact and guide product direction
  • Operate in a hybrid model based in San Francisco, including office collaboration three days per week

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience with strong leadership, xfn collaboration, and communication skills
  • Experience in education, EdTech, or learning research, or eagerness to dive into complex, research-driven problem spaces
  • Experience building and scaling impactful consumer products
  • Motivation by OpenAI’s mission and excitement to build products that help people learn
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners (engineering, design, research, go-to-market)
  • Must be able to work from OpenAI’s San Francisco office three days per week (hybrid)
  • Willingness to partner with external academic and education partners and track outcomes
