About the role

  • The role of a Product Manager is a crucial position that acts as the intersection between customers, IT development, vendors and revenue teams.
  • Responsible for the product life cycle, including market research (identifying trends and recommending new product opportunities) to define the product strategy.
  • Working with technology teams to define the key product features and to complete ongoing analysis of product commercialisation and performance.
  • Create strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers and partners.
  • Ensure that relevant platform(s) support the company's overall strategy and goals and scheme/regulatory compliance.
  • Enable new payment products and features for a variety of customer types and scenarios.
  • Think strategically about product development to represent the need of existing and future customers.
  • Using a variety of techniques including customer visits, interviews, workshops, use cases to determine product and features to build.
  • Understand the competitive landscape of payments and payment-related industries using data and insights to drive the solution and deliver effective feature sets.
  • Lead roadmap planning for owned areas, managing and prioritising product backlog.
  • Own end to end enablement, effectively preparing for and communicating upcoming releases internally and externally.
  • Drive change management processes associated with assigned products, engaging with teams to ensure understanding and buy-in to support product updates/changes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years' experience as a Product Manager covering the full breadth of product design, development and life cycle management in a hardware or software solutions based organisation, ideally within payments, FinTech or eCommerce.
  • Passionate about delivering great customer experiences and bringing products to life that scale, representing the voice of the customer.
  • Growth mindset to continually refine and improve experiences.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate the big picture to take the business on your product journey.
  • You are a collaborative operator who can bring together diverse perspectives from across the business and prioritise product solutions to deliver the greatest value.
  • Self-starter who can lead teams in a fast moving environment to drive the product roadmap forward, maintaining momentum on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to analyse product profitability when prioritising solutions as part of the product roadmap.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complete issues to senior management as well as deals with colleagues at all levels, developing strong internal and external relationships.
  • Preferred Experience with product onboarding processes, familiar with business process architecture.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Being adept in Project Management including experience using various project management techniques would be advantageous.
