About the role

  • Discover, listen, and align: Lead structured discoveries with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to distill ambiguous input into crisp problem statements and measurable outcomes.
  • Translate insight → roadmap: Convert problems into decomposed roadmap epics/stories with prioritized sequencing and solution hypotheses.
  • Make the business case: Build tiered business cases ROIs balancing revenue, cost, and risk.
  • Balance feasibility and value: Partner with engineering to weigh technical complexity and operability against customer value and time‑to‑market.
  • Own outcomes, not output: Define, instrument, and report product KPIs; iterate rapidly based on data.
  • Bring the market inside: Track SMP competitors and adjacent tooling; synthesize market/analyst signals into strategy and positioning guidance for GTM.
  • Lead and develop talent: Manage and mentor Product Owners and Business Analysts; set clear goals, provide coaching, and foster growth in product craft and business acumen.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Product Management building B2B SaaS platforms; SMP/ITAM/SAM/FinOps/Identity adjacent domains strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years managing direct reports (Product Owners, BAs, or Associate PMs) with demonstrated coaching and performance management success
  • Familiarity with SaaS procurement/workflows, renewals, and license lifecycle
  • Proven ability to translate customer interviews into prioritized roadmaps and shipped value.
  • Financial fluency: You can size opportunities, model ROI, and articulate unit economics (e.g., savings, margin impacts).
  • Technical depth: You can discuss engineering trade‑offs and reason about systems (APIs, events, data models).
  • Familiarity with SSO, app discovery, license optimization, shadow IT, and provisioning/de‑provisioning flows.
  • Cross‑functional leadership: You’ve led multi‑disciplinary squads, influenced without authority, and kept complex work moving across time zones.
  • Communication excellence: Concise writing, narrative memos, and the courage to say, “not now.”
  • Customer discovery (JTBD, problem interviews), problem framing, and hypothesis‑driven development
  • Prioritization frameworks, tradeoffs, and sequencing
  • Ruthless focus on outcomes, simplicity, and quality
