About the role
- Product Manager focused on managing TomTom’s API offerings and enhancing developer experiences. Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver reliable and monetizable APIs for clients.
Responsibilities
- Define strategy and roadmap for our direct API offering (across routing, map display, search, geocoding, traffic)
- Develop and redesign APIs for AI & agent integrations, optimizing for latency, cost, and safety
- Accelerate developer onboarding from documentation to onboarding, tooling, and sample integrations
- Partner with commercial teams on API pricing and monetization
- Collaborate with our API platform team to specify telemetry, observability, and billing instrumentation, including AI-specific metrics
Requirements
- Proven experience managing technical products—ideally APIs or developer platforms
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Manager in a software company
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar technical field
- Strong technical fluency; able to interpret API specs, latency tradeoffs, and usage telemetry
- Excellent track record of collaborating effectively across engineering, legal, product, and commercial teams
- Data-driven thinking coupled with deep empathy for the developer persona
- Experience designing and scaling usage-based or consumption-based business models
