About the role

  • Translate and harmonize research to wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI using our established design system components and patterns.
  • Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes, either within Figma or utilizing industry AI build tools, to validate interactions and flows while maintaining design system consistency.
  • Develop intuitive user flows and responsive design solutions that leverage and extend our component library.
  • Leverage AI design tools to rapidly generate and iterate on concept variations within design system constraints.
  • Document design decisions and contribute to team-wide design system guidelines and governance.
  • Challenge assumptions and push for solutions that prioritize user needs while maintaining systematic consistency.
  • Conduct usability tests and gather user feedback to inform both individual design decisions and broader design system evolution.
  • Synthesize research findings into actionable improvements using AI-assisted pattern recognition and analysis tools for both specific features and reusable components.
  • Ensure experiences and interfaces are accessible and inclusive (WCAG AA), contributing to design system accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with the UX and Technology teams to define core components, patterns, and guidelines as we establish our design foundations.
  • Ensure consistency in typography, color systems, and UI components while the system matures.
  • Manage and maintain component libraries in Figma, ensuring consistency, organization, and accessibility across all design system elements.
  • Utilize AI-powered documentation and auditing tools to maintain up-to-date component guidelines and usage patterns.
  • Define and refine design tokens (color, typography, spacing, etc.) that create systematic consistency across products.
  • Create new components and variants when existing patterns don't meet user needs, following established design system principles.
  • Conduct regular audits of design system usage and component effectiveness, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Advocate for design system adoption across teams and help educate colleagues on its value and usage.
  • Work in rapid cycles, validating ideas with real users and iterating on designs.
  • Explore and integrate AI-powered design and research technologies to enhance efficiency and insights.
  • Collaborate with engineers to ensure design feasibility and smooth implementation.
  • Lead AI tool integration and share AI workflow learnings with team members.
