Procurement Contract Associate Manager responsible for negotiating commercial agreements at MassMutual. Collaborate with legal and IT teams to ensure compliance and finalization of contracts while managing multiple projects.
Responsibilities
Negotiate commercial agreements to ensure documents meet company policies and business needs
Work closely with team members and other departments—such as legal and IT—to help draft, review and finalize contract terms
Orchestrate multiple simultaneous projects requiring excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
Serve as a central point of contact for each contract, ensuring deals are negotiated and executed on time
Engage with internal stakeholders to assess risks specific to each transaction
Draft and redline contracts to help ensure MassMutual is protected from risks, escalating deviations from standards as needed
Engage in negotiations with suppliers to produce contracts meeting MassMutual standards
Requirements
1+ year of experience in contract evaluation, drafting, and redlining contracts and negotiating with suppliers
Bachelor’s Degree OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, we require High School Diploma or GED and 6+ years of equivalent experience with specifically 2+ years in drafting/negotiating contract terms and conditions and 2+ years in managing supplier engagements
1+ years of experience include redlining and negotiation of IT and technology related contracts including but not limited to Software as a Service (SaaS), hardware, software licensing, IT professional services
Detail-oriented with a track record of accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work collaboratively with procurement teams and stakeholders
Eagerness to learn and further develop contract negotiation skills
