Responsibilities

• Conduct prefeasibility, feasibility and concept development studies for industrial engineering projects;
• Prepare preliminary and detailed engineering documents, such as design bases, mass and energy balances, hydraulic calculations, process simulations, and sizing of process equipment, pressure vessels and piping;
• Participate in the optimization of industrial processes;
• Prepare, review and approve process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs);
• Write, review and approve project reports and calculation notes;
• Estimate project labor hours and ensure adherence to costs and schedules for process-related project activities;
• Ensure interdisciplinary coordination of process activities within projects;
• Provide technical support to a variety of industrial clients.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant disciplines;
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
• Have a minimum of 3 years of relevant industrial experience;
• Experience in industrial sectors such as mining & metals and/or oil & gas;
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS and PIPE-FLO);
• Familiarity with risk analysis techniques (e.g., HAZOP);
• Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills;
• Bilingualism (strong asset).
