About the role

  • Portfolio manager providing essential support to account executives in transportation insurance. Collaborating with a marketing team for insurance documentation and client inquiries while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional service for clients' day-to-day needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation for each file in accordance with HUB standards and the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF)
  • Open client files in the HUB system
  • Manage activities within client files
  • Collaborate on placement strategy and service proposals with the Account Director
  • Prepare and submit requests to insurers
  • Prepare submission presentations
  • Perform necessary follow-ups with insurers and clients
  • Verify the accuracy of insurance policies and endorsements, and follow up on required corrections
  • Work with the Account Director to ensure proposals are up to date and to prepare cover notes, service proposals, insurance summaries, and condition comparison matrices
  • Verify the validity of required client permits/licenses (Filings, US filings, UIIA, etc.)
  • Draft instructions for certificates of insurance and ensure their compliance
  • Draft billing instructions
  • Ensure billing is accurate
  • Assist with diligent accounts receivable follow-up
  • Draft instructions for mailings
  • Ensure renewals are processed, including billing according to schedules
  • Open claims in client files.

Requirements

  • College diploma
  • Valid Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) license in commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent command of French, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of English, essential for communications and transactions with our international clients
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency with EPIC software
