About the role

  • The Policy Counsel leads Atlas Free’s work to understand, advise, and engage in domestic and international policy issues related to sex trafficking, exploitation, and current trends in the fight against human trafficking.
  • Assess various projects and prepare funding recommendations.
  • Advise Atlas Free Network Members and build relationships with government leaders and staff.
  • Monitor campaigns and coalitions, develop written resources, and represent Atlas Free at public events.

Requirements

  • Prior engagement in the human trafficking policy-related field.
  • Experience working on Capitol Hill, state legislatures, or the executive branch, preferred.
  • A terminal degree in a related field (juris doctorate, PhD, or Master’s in public policy, preferred)
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Acute attention to detail and ability to finish tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, creative problem solver, and a team player.
