About the role

  • Help private companies with business advisory needs such as audit, tax compliance, and planning
  • Experience the entire business life cycle of a private company
  • Design and implement personal and customised service plans
  • Assist the team focus on key issues like wealth management, compliance and cash flow management
  • Navigate the complexities of cross-border teams and engagements
  • Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in Tax or equivalent recognized designation
  • A qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent recognized designation
  • Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation, or in pursuit of it
  • Experience in public accounting or law firms
  • Good understanding of Canadian tax rules and issues facing high net worth clients
  • Experience assisting with designing and governance of philanthropic plans
  • Strong understanding of responsible investing and social impact of investing
  • Superior problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical capability and sound business sense
  • Ability to manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals
