About the role
- Pharmacy Technician responsible for accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions for CVS Health. Ensuring timely access to patient prescriptions in a work-from-home environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into our system
- Ensure patients receive their correct prescriptions in a timely manner
- Direct questionable prescriptions to the prescriber for clarification
- Enter complete prescription information once clarification is received
- Meet specified production and quality standards as defined by management
- Offer solutions needed to help enter patient and prescription information
- Faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
- Perform other pharmacy functions as required
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician license in compliance with applicable state law where applicant resides
- Minimum of 3 months related pharmacy technician experience
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Candidate must reside in the state of Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Pennsylvania, or Texas
- A secure room free from noise and distractions, with a closing door and ergonomic-friendly work area
- Must have your own internet provider that can support the virtual working environment
- Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
- Previous mail order or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail while multitasking through various programs
- Rapid keyboarding skills while maintaining 100% accuracy
