About the role
- Software Engineer for Disney developing developer-facing tools and frameworks using modern technologies. Collaborating across teams to enhance user experience and empower engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop tools and frameworks that empowers other engineers all across the organization
- Partner with the UX design team to transform mock-ups into components, pages, and applications
- Join forces with other DPE teams to provide a more user-friendly experience for their services and data
- Collaborate with Product Managers to help scope features, identify technical implementation, and ensure we're building the right tools in the right way
Requirements
- Proficiency in Web technologies, including Javascript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
- Strong passion for building stable, well-tested applications and packages in a collaborative environment
- 3 years developing large, well-tested applications
- Excellent debugging skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for new technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Experience with GraphQL (preferred)
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (preferred)
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and/or Terraform (preferred)
- Experience with other popular languages (Node, Go, Java, Scala, Python) (preferred)
- Experience with internal tools (preferred)
