About the role

  • Advise Desjardins members and businesses on investments, loans and insurance. Build relationships, assess needs, design financial strategies, and represent the caisse in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lasting and trusting business relationships with members and clients
  • Listen to members’ and clients’ needs, offer advice and help choose appropriate solutions to meet financial goals
  • Work closely with a client base consisting mainly of individual members and businesses
  • Recommend investments, loans and insurance products to drive results
  • Balance member/client satisfaction, business objectives, profitability and sound and prudent risk management
  • Work with partners and experts to design integrated financial strategies
  • Advise members and clients on best strategies and identify expected results
  • Manage business relationships, assess member/client satisfaction and service quality, follow up and identify areas for improvement
  • Stay up-to-date on the financial services industry, market trends and best practices
  • Participate in outreach activities and represent the caisse in the community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience
  • Mutual fund representative certificate – Autorité des marchés financiers
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of current financial, economic, political and legislative events
  • Debt management
  • Notions of compliance with legislation respecting the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of the philosophy and fundamentals of financial services cooperatives
  • Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards related to products and services offered by the caisse
  • Familiarity with Desjardins business processes and service standards
  • Techniques used to assess and monitor individual financing applications
  • Action oriented; Customer Focus; Differences; Drive results; Interpersonal Savvy; Nimble learning
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
