About the role

  • Draft petitions, communications and patent and industrial design applications, including adapting and organizing figures;
  • Conduct searches and analyses in patent databases, industrial design databases and scientific literature, assessing patentability, validity, freedom-to-operate and infringement;
  • Prepare technical reports on searches, patentability, freedom-to-operate, validity and infringement;
  • Monitor patent and industrial design prosecution, filings, national and international deadlines, and paralegal activities;
  • Provide technical and administrative support to teams, attend client and internal meetings, interpret instructions in Portuguese and English, and keep the manager informed;
  • Use tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, internet, patent databases, Apol and Legal Manager, following internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or Pharmacy;
  • Experience in patents and industrial designs;
  • Knowledge of: Intellectual Property, Apol, patent databases and Legal Manager;
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills;
  • Advanced English.
