About the role
- Prepare and process draft legal documents across bank customers, corporate secretarial, subsidiaries, business committees, regulators and outside counsel engagements.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of briefs, motions, contracts, legal opinions, court filings and fund documentation, and perform fact-finding and legal/regulatory research under guidance.
- Compile information from various bank sources to draft responses, maintain electronic documents, template databases and internal knowledge repositories.
- Proactively engage with global legal teams to standardize templates, drive seamless contract or regulatory implementation and support outside-counsel engagements.
- Leverage bank technology tools (including AI) to automate and enhance legal workflows.
- Manage the Luxembourg Legal group tasks—allocating matters, escalating urgent issues—and progressively take on complex tasks and client-interface responsibilities (onboarding, credit, risk and compliance).
Requirements
- Relevant legal qualification or equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of legal principles and research.
- Experience in financial services and familiarity with UK/European regulatory frameworks.
- Fluent in English and French; proficiency in German or another European language is an asset.
- Experience in leveraging technology tools (such as AI) for the automation of legal tasks will be an asset.
