About the role
- Paralegal managing commercial agreements and corporate governance activities for legal team support. Drafting legal documents and compliance monitoring across various regulations in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage a wide range of **commercial agreements**, including vendor, partnership, and client contracts.
- Support **corporate governance** activities, including maintaining entity records, board minutes, and regulatory filings.
- Assist with **compliance monitoring** related to financial regulations, data protection, anti-money laundering (AML), and consumer protection laws.
- Draft discovery requests and responses, including interrogatories, admissions, production demands, deposition notices, and motions to compel.
- Analyze records and disciplinary files and provide recommendations to attorneys regarding file disposition.
- Conduct legal research including statutory and case law; draft research memoranda, proposed rules, orders, and other legal documents.
- Perform other related duties consistent with the level of the role, demonstrating flexibility and support for the legal team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Ability to analyze case files and provide concise summaries.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research databases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
