About the role

  • Draft, review, and manage a wide range of **commercial agreements**, including vendor, partnership, and client contracts.
  • Support **corporate governance** activities, including maintaining entity records, board minutes, and regulatory filings.
  • Assist with **compliance monitoring** related to financial regulations, data protection, anti-money laundering (AML), and consumer protection laws.
  • Draft discovery requests and responses, including interrogatories, admissions, production demands, deposition notices, and motions to compel.
  • Analyze records and disciplinary files and provide recommendations to attorneys regarding file disposition.
  • Conduct legal research including statutory and case law; draft research memoranda, proposed rules, orders, and other legal documents.
  • Perform other related duties consistent with the level of the role, demonstrating flexibility and support for the legal team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Ability to analyze case files and provide concise summaries.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and legal research databases.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
