About the role
- CILEX authorised litigation practitioner managing small claims for global automotive organisation. Advocating and taking ownership of caseload with hybrid working options.
Responsibilities
- Manage a rolling caseload of pre action and Small Claims Court matters across England and Wales
- Take full ownership of cases from initial assessment through to final hearing and resolution
- Draft statements of case, witness statements, applications and formal correspondence
- Conduct legal research across CPR, consumer protection and contract law
- Represent the business at Small Claims hearings
- Engage directly with internal stakeholders including customer service, engineering and commercial teams
- Ensure full compliance with procedural rules and internal governance standards
Requirements
- Hold a CILEX Litigation qualification
- Hold litigation practice rights authorised by CILEX Regulation Limited
- Demonstrable experience managing and advocating small claims matters in England and Wales
- Confident operating independently with minimal supervision
- Strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Comfortable engaging with internal stakeholders in a corporate environment
- Experience in consumer disputes, product related claims or contract disputes will be advantageous
