About the role
- Regional Depot Manager overseeing warehouse operations in Northern Germany for PPG. Focusing on logistics processes and team leadership to enhance service and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the depots in the Northern region (Ahrensburg, Gelsenkirchen, Berlin, Bielefeld, Kassel, Kerpen)
- Implement and coordinate all organizational processes and company procedures within the respective region
- Ensure that all EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) policies and procedures are applied throughout the region and that an effective health and safety management system is implemented and operates effectively at all sites
- Lead employees and foster strong two-way communication
- Provide active customer support and logistical consulting during meetings with prospective customers
- Ensure that all customer inquiries and orders are processed timely and comprehensively
- Responsible for inventory management, including regular and proper stock checks and physical inventories
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in warehouse logistics or an equivalent qualification
- Excellent leadership and staff development skills
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and similar systems (SAP, Oracle)
- High degree of self-motivation and a proactive, committed approach to work
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude toward change and emerging challenges
- Willingness to travel regularly for business
- Understanding of market dynamics and customer perspectives
- Fluent German and good written and spoken English
