About the role

  • Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services
  • Works collaboratively with other stakeholders in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams
  • Provides oversight and consultation of work intake processes, backlog and execution of requests
  • Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards
  • Prepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages
  • Provides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support
  • Supports and participates in component research to provide input for more comprehensive evaluation
  • Leads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects

Requirements

  • Active IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140)
  • 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations
  • 3+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN)
  • 3+ years of experience with Splunk/Syslog and log forwarding
  • 3+ years of experience with LAN technologies: Layer2, Layer3, TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, IP Multicast, IP QoS, DHCP, NTP
  • Experience with Bill of Materials based on design/project requirements
  • Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations
  • Willing to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hours
