About the role

  • Planning and implementation of heat supply projects in municipal areas
  • Development of concepts and solutions for heat supply
  • Leading projects to develop climate-efficient building-, property- and neighborhood-level energy and supply concepts
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with municipalities, including advising and supporting climate protection activities as part of the heat transition, in particular municipal heat planning
  • Developing transformation plans for heat networks and solutions to optimize heat supply
  • Monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Preparing economic feasibility calculations and cost–benefit analyses
  • Preparing presentations and delivering talks
  • Developing guidance materials and advisory tools (e.g. brochures, online tools, checklists, case studies and technical catalogs)
  • Using data from geodata portals

Requirements

  • Degree in energy engineering, building services engineering or a comparable field
  • Professional experience in planning heat generation plants desirable
  • Ideally initial experience implementing heat supply projects, i.e. preparing energy, climate protection or neighborhood concepts, or experience in municipal heat planning
  • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
  • Team player with a strong commitment and a high degree of initiative
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid driver's license (Class B)
