Seeking a Senior Software Engineer for building and enhancing scalable search platforms at Gartner. Responsible for advanced search capabilities, data pipelines, and cross - functional collaboration.
About the role
- Mid-level Application Support Developer specializing in Node.js and TypeScript for critical application stabilization. Collaborating across departments to ensure optimal application performance.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and fix bugs, failures and incidents in Node.js applications;
- Analyze logs, queues and metrics (via DataDog, AWS CloudWatch, etc.) to identify root causes;
- Implement code adjustments and fixes following team best practices and standards;
- Execute unit and regression tests to validate fixes;
- Support improvements to application observability and performance;
- Ensure the technical quality of deliveries, with a focus on stability and security;
- Contribute to documentation of fixes and technical procedures;
- Collaborate with Development, QA and SRE teams in joint incident analyses.
Requirements
- Experience with Node.js and TypeScript (or JavaScript);
- Additional knowledge of PHP is a plus;
- Experience with RabbitMQ and event-driven architecture;
- Knowledge of MySQL and MongoDB (queries, indexes and basic tuning);
- Experience with Docker (Kubernetes knowledge is welcome);
- Solid fundamentals in OOP (Object-Oriented Programming);
- Familiarity with microservices and observability in AWS environments (logs, metrics, alerts).
