About the role
- Account Analyst responsible for recording financial transactions and ensuring compliance with regulations. Collaborates with financial departments while supporting auditing and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Record the company's financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts and expenses.
- Ensure financial transactions comply with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform account reconciliations, comparing accounting records with corresponding data sources.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records.
- Prepare the company's financial statements.
- Analyze variances and trends in financial statements and other accounting reports.
- Identify areas for improvement, flag deviations and provide insights to the company's financial management.
- Assist with external audits conducted by independent audit firms.
- Collaborate in reviewing accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Work closely with other finance areas such as treasury, controllership and cost accounting.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting.
- Proven professional experience in accounting.
- Active CRC (Brazilian professional accounting registration).
- Knowledge of current accounting standards and regulations.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good communication skills — ability to work closely with other departments.
- Planning and organizational skills.
- Hands-on, practical approach.
