Part-time Member Consultant II assisting members with financial needs at BECU. Providing customer service and expertise in financial products while contributing to community financial wellness.
Responsibilities
Deliver a seamless and high-quality member experience
Identify, diagnose, and address members’ consumer financial needs
Refer members to specialized services when necessary
Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services
Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales
Sign all line and loan documents that originate through outbound/inbound call center
Assist the community with financial wellness, including education programs, budgeting assistance, and access to financial planning resources
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
One year of experience in a financial institution (desired)
Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs
Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
Ability to successfully complete 12-week in-house training program after hire
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills
Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills
Ability to work flexible shifts between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm during the week, and 8:00am and 1:30pm on Saturdays
