About the role

  • MarTech Lead responsible for optimizing the marketing tech stack for DTC growth in Germany. Focused on tracking, data analysis, and project management in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • This role combines technical expertise, project management and business acumen with a focus on optimizing our marketing technology stack for our growing Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business.
  • Ownership of our DTC marketing platform and the seamless integration of its components, including connections to other systems.
  • Managing tracking and A/B testing strategies and leading end-to-end initiatives.
  • Responsible for tracking, tagging, data analysis and reporting with a clear focus on increasing our digital presence, customer acquisition and conversion.
  • Working with APIs, providing technical support and delivering training.
  • Strengthening data literacy within the team.
  • Ensuring data availability for performance measurement and further BI analyses.
  • Developing robust testing, debugging and quality assurance processes and ensuring their consistent implementation to prevent errors on DTC websites.
  • Collaborating with Customer Acquisition, CRO, SEO and CRM teams to optimize e-commerce websites for performance, SEO and conversion rate while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Managing and providing critical oversight of agency partners during implementation of website-specific developments and changes.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a developer in e-commerce technologies, with experience implementing and maintaining online stores.
  • Experience scaling core e-commerce processes, such as automated ad serving, is a plus.
  • Experience implementing and managing server-side tracking and tagging (e.g., Matomo or Google Tag Manager).
  • Solid knowledge of common e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and the underlying web technologies, especially JavaScript, including personalization and API integration.
  • Understanding of data generation and analysis across the entire online customer journey and its technical foundations.
  • Balanced mix of intellect and emotional intelligence, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies in the MarTech space and beyond.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ownership and a hands-on attitude — you can turn an idea into a project and work independently with minimal guidance.
