About the role

  • Drive Manufacturing Requirements into Powertrain Architecture Development Process
  • Analyze Manufacturing Key Process Indicators (KPI’s) and implement corrective actions to deliver Business Objectives
  • Develop and Execute Strategies for improving Manufacturing Productivity and Quality
  • Drive adoption of New Technologies and Advanced Manufacturing methods
  • Utilize Manufacturing Knowledge to Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures
  • Provide Team Leadership in addressing Technical Challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional activities (Product Development, Purchasing, Marketing, Supply Base and Manufacturing Plant) to ensure Quality of Manufacturability and Cost-Effective Production Methods
  • Implement Virtual Manufacturing Tool Set
  • Meet Program Financial Targets for Facility, Tooling and Labor
  • Lead all phases of New Model Product Launch at Powertrain Plant(s) including Tooling and Facility Installations

Requirements

  • 5+ Years leadership Experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Strong Project Management skills and result-oriented mindset
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading Project from Concept to Manufacturing
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Ability to set long term goals and implement Manufacturing Strategies
  • Experience in Cost Control and Resource allocation to maximize efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Experience leveraging Virtual Manufacturing tools
  • Strong communication skills
  • Implementation of Failure Mode Avoidance principles and Quality Improvement actions
