About the role

  • Overseeing a national bilingual, remote, and 24/7 DSG team, ensuring high service standards and value through effective management and leadership
  • Building strategic partnerships with key internal stakeholders to increase awareness and engagement with DSG and optimize workflow efficiency
  • Providing leadership, direction and expertise for DSG functions, including employee relations, engagement and change management
  • Ensuring timely and high-quality services delivery to meet deadlines, adhere to document production and support processes, and make procedural adjustments as necessary
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement, recommending innovative changes, and leading implementations across DSG, Resource Centre, and LSS nationally
  • Collaborating with Supervisors on staff absences, vacation planning, and managing overtime while maintaining operational and cost efficiencies
  • Monitoring workflows and key metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, and developing recommendations for change and improvement
  • Reviewing department metrics regularly and preparing monthly reports
  • Conducting individual and team meetings and coordinating regular training events for Supervisors and Document Specialists
  • Managing performance management processes with Supervisors: setting objectives and providing ongoing feedback
  • Leading firm-wide projects, preparing change management and communication plans to facilitate seamless transitions
  • Leading talent acquisition and talent management processes and collaborating on annual budget preparation
  • Coaching Supervisors to build and maintain effective working relationships with DSG clients and stakeholders
  • Providing coverage/backup for DSG management team members and attending off-hour events as required

Requirements

  • Required post secondary education in the fields of business or office administration
  • Minimum 6-10 years of relevant experience, including management role
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in team leadership and operations management
  • Experience managing remote teams (asset)
  • Experience as a business lead on projects (highly desirable)
  • Experience in Human Resources or equivalent (asset)
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability; ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with emotional intelligence
  • Flexibility in work hours and willingness to step into leadership coverage roles
  • Technological proficiency and ongoing commitment to professional development
  • Availability for shift: Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm ET
