About the role

Responsibilities
- Gathering business requirements and translating them into data capture and validation templates by working with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Translating data capture and validation rules into a simple series of machine-readable algorithms using a domain-specific Ruby-based language known as Framework Definition Language.
- Providing expert advice on Management Information (MI) and the Report Management Information service where complex issues arise.
- Providing ongoing briefing and support to the Deputy Director and key governance forums to ensure new contractual arrangements align with best practice for their data requirements.
Requirements
- Highly developed skills in data management and modelling, with a proven track record of using advanced techniques in Excel.
- An established ability to work with different data formats/coding languages such as JSON, Ruby, and SQL.
- Proven track record in communicating with not only internal stakeholders, but also external stakeholders across a diverse private supplier base and commercial partners from other public sector bodies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven experience in collaborating and engaging with business data owners/stakeholders to continually drive data quality improvements against business objectives and outcomes.
- Can lead work projects, prioritise workload and deliverables of the team to meet deadlines.
