Management Accountant providing financial support to key business units and ensuring effective financial control by maintaining integrity of financial data. Preparing and delivering management accounts while identifying financial risks and providing timely reports.
Responsibilities
Provides dedicated financial support to key business units
Responsible for preparing and delivering management accounts
Partnering with budget holders to ensure effective financial control
Maintaining the integrity of all financial data
Providing timely reports
Managing balance sheets, contributing to cash flow analysis
Identifying financial risks to support informed business decisions
Support to Senior Finance Business Partners and relevant business teams
Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis
Support the reporting and financial management of Capital Expenditure (Capex) projects
Investigate variances with the business heads and identify solutions
Produce weekly forecast update for relevant business areas
Ensure invoices are raised in a timely fashion where appropriate
Provide high-quality financial reporting and information to finance and the business
Work to strict deadlines and monthly reporting calendar
Support the annual budgeting process by working with the business to produce cost and revenue forecasts
Analyze trends and identify variances or anomalies
Support production of relevant presentations
Liaise with the business to ensure forecast costs and revenues are accurately captured
Support annual audit process where required
Provide data for external reporting where relevant
This role is varied and is not limited to the above responsibilities.
Requirements
This role is an ideal opportunity for an individual with foundational accounts experience who is actively studying towards a professional qualification (such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA)
