About the role
- Lead commercial legal projects involving a range of vendors, focusing on professional services, consulting and contingent workforce services
- Lead functional projects and programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal requirements
- Provide specialized legal advice and support in areas such as data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance
- Identify issues and recommend best practices to guide decision-making
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations; implement compliance programs and conduct regular audits
- Manage legal risks and develop strategies to address emerging legal challenges
- Represent PayPal in litigation and other legal proceedings; collaborate with external counsel and manage case strategies
- Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to achieve solutions and create playbooks/guidelines for contract negotiation
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
- Juris doctorate or equivalent degree
- Hands-on experience in commercial contract negotiation
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing contingent labor, employment and independent contractor services (preferred)
- Experience partnering with business leaders to create playbooks, guidelines and operating procedures (preferred)
- Experience in using AI tools (preferred)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and client service orientation
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
