About the role

  • The Associate Counsel serves as Mexican legal counsel for Royal Caribbean’s development projects and other business activities in Mexico
  • Reviews, negotiates, prepares and advises on a variety of contracts, including those related to real estate development, construction, operations, and corporate law matters
  • Provides legal advice on a broad range of legal issues relating to development and operation of large scale real estate and infrastructure development projects and business activity in Mexico
  • Liaises with and assist in the management of external Mexican legal counsel and notaries

Requirements

  • Duly licensed attorney in good standing in Mexico with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
  • 3+ years of qualified transactional legal experience as a practicing lawyer with corporate law experience law firm and/or in-house experience in serving large multinational corporations or working in their in-house legal departments
  • Excellent understanding of the role of notaries in Mexico and the administrative formalities required to comply with Mexican real property, corporate and other law, as well as related KYC processes
  • Candidate must be bilingual with full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
