About the role
- Lead Business Analyst supporting development and optimization of insurance products in Commercial Lines. Collaborating with multiple teams to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial and operations teams to gather and document business requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies for new product development or enhancements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
- Analyze and model insurance products across Engineering, Marine, Property, and Liability.
- Support pricing, rating, and policy administration systems specific to commercial lines.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with industry standards (IRDAI, Lloyd’s, etc.).
- Liaise with product managers, IT teams, vendors, and external consultants.
- Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and UAT sessions with business users.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for commercial lines during system implementations.
Requirements
- 14+ years of experience in General Insurance Commercial BA
- Strong proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio)
- Familiarity with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, DXC, etc.) is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and lifecycle.
- Experience in regulatory and compliance frameworks in P&C insurance.
- Knowledge of reinsurance and treaty structures is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Any Degree with III certification or ECBA
