Lead Business Analyst supporting development and optimization of insurance products in Commercial Lines. Collaborating with multiple teams to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial and operations teams to gather and document business requirements.
Conduct gap analysis and feasibility studies for new product development or enhancements.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
Analyze and model insurance products across Engineering, Marine, Property, and Liability.
Support pricing, rating, and policy administration systems specific to commercial lines.
Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with industry standards (IRDAI, Lloyd’s, etc.).
Liaise with product managers, IT teams, vendors, and external consultants.
Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and UAT sessions with business users.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for commercial lines during system implementations.
Requirements
14+ years of experience in General Insurance Commercial BA
Strong proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio)
Familiarity with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, DXC, etc.) is a plus.
In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and lifecycle.
Experience in regulatory and compliance frameworks in P&C insurance.
Knowledge of reinsurance and treaty structures is advantageous.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Any Degree with III certification or ECBA
